Hi. I work with a USAID funded program called NUTI-Northern Uganda Transition Initiative in the Acholi sub region of northern Uganda and would like to request some assistance. I work with the program (implemented by Casals & Associates – Dyn Corp International Company) as the Media and Communications Coordinator and my job is to produce videos and take photos of USAID/NUTI successes and get these stories out to the public. I am currently in the process of finalising a success story on the work we recently completed on Kitgum High School. This work was started by the US & East African Army in Kitgum in October 2009 and going through the photos on Flickr, I am inclined to request permission to use some of these photos in the USAID/NUTI video as they would enrich the video that will be uploaded on You Tube as a USAID/OTI Uganda success Story once clearance to do so is gotten. This video as was the rehabilitation work on the cafeteria in Kitgum High is dedicated to US Army Captain Benjamin Andrew Sklaver for his selfless humanitarian service to the people of northern Uganda and his devotion to making the world a better place. I would appreciate it if my humble request is channeled to the rightful authority and due consideration taken. Sincerely, Brenda Onyutta, Media and Comunications Coordinator, USAID/NUTI, P.O Box 1521 , Plot 1B Samuel Doe Road, Gulu Town Center, Gulu.
You are very welcome to include photos from US Army Africa Flickr collection in the video you are making of the Kitgum High School project.
Simply adhere to the Flickr Creative Commons guidelines of attribution and, if you’d be so kind, let us know when the video is posted or where we can take a look at it.
In all likelihood we will draw more attention to it through our various media channels.
Best of luck!
