I served under the SETAF Command outside of Verona from 63 to 66 at the airfield known as Boscomantico. In fact I worked the flood rescue in 63. I assume that Caserma Paselaqua and Boscomantico are both gone now?
It was a great experience and I came to love the Italian people. Any other old timers in touch there?
Best wishes to you and thank you for your service to our country.

    • Thanks for your note, Mr Saul, I’m sure things have changed since the time of your service — the people and specific places — but the dedication of US Army Africa to making this world a better place is true to the ideals and sacrifices of yourself and all your brothers and sisters in arms.
Again, thanks for your interest, we hope you will re-visit our websites from time to time to see what USARAF is up to, and we’ll be happy to hear from you anytime you’re so inclined.
      Best regards,
      US Army Africa PAO
